Powered by ultra-low energy DC 48 Volt LED lighting system perfect for indoor test grow laboratories, which can be fine-tuned depending on crop stage while a state-of-the art climate control system makes it possible to change temperature, humidity, and air flow.

Reaseheath College – Low Energy Urban Farm
An energy-efficient fully-automated growing environment, delivered by iGrowing.
A fully automated and monitored growing system installed at Reaseheath College enabling them to grow crops efficiently in their multi-tiered urban farms at their Vertical Farming Centre, the UK’s largest training and research centre for vertical farming.
All lighting and environment is powered and controlled via the iGrowing Energy Monitor App 24 hours a day 7 days a week to help optimise the performance of the Low Voltage System. Powered directly from a 20kW solar array supported by a 22.5kW battery back-up system.
The mix and intensity of blue, red and far red LED lights can be controlled independently of each other which improves growing cycles and crop yields, a perfect system for multi-tiered indoor urban farms using energy-efficient technology.
